This craft of clay doll making is 200-250 years old and mainly practised in a place called Krishnanagar Ghurni,in the district of Nadia,West Bengal.According to the clay doll makers,the area where this craft is located and practised is mainly in Gurni since the proper image makers have settled here.The purpose of this effort is to preserve and revive the traditional heritage of clay doll making.
